VENUES
Cheshire Tennis oversees around 90 LTA registered clubs. Each club belongs in a network pertaining to its local authority area. Each club also has assigned to it a member of our Club Liaison Committee. All Cheshire clubs welcome new members but for those not wanting the commitment of membership, many clubs, along with the numerous parks in the county, offer pay and play options which can be booked online. Some of these also offer coaching opportunities.
CLUB LIAISION COMMITTEE
The purpose of the Club Liaison Committee is to maintain a two-way channel of communication for current news and troubleshooting. This communication is very important to ensure that the right personnel receive the appropriate news and offers. We have also initiated regular virtual coffee mornings, lasting just one hour, which offer an opportunity of hearing the latest county news, sharing good practice and answering any queries. Our Club Liaison Committee also oversees our Coach Support Scheme and the Small Loans Scheme open to clubs.
LOANS
Since its launch in 2013, the Cheshire Tennis Club Small Loan Scheme has been hugely successful, with many clubs taking the opportunity of using a simple, interest free loan to improve their facilities. To encourage even more clubs in Cheshire to consider ways of developing their tennis offering, it has been decided to increase the total funds available in the Scheme from £55k to £300k, using the balance sheet reserves built up by the County over a number of years.

COACH SUPPORT
The Coach Support Scheme aims to assist the coaches with their professional development as well as motivating them to complete the course and share their new expertise across the County. To date we have helped over 150 coaches in Cheshire.
The Scheme will contribute 50% of the cost of the core training modules of the LTA qualification pathway in return for coaching hours in lieu. Of this grant 25% is given after being accepted onto the course and the other 25% is given on successful completion of the course. Due to financial constraints, not all applicants will be successful and applicants must be members of a registered Cheshire club.
Applications must be made when you have been accepted onto the course but before the course has started. Applications cannot be made retrospectively.
