Inspiration at the Lexus Wrexham Open

The Lexus Wrexham Open is proving a wonderful event for Cheshire girls who are ball crew during the week.

Carole Needham, who coaches at Kelsall Tennis Club and Helsby LTC, is passionate about inspiring girls to play tennis and dedicates her efforts to bring young girls into the game and retain them.

She said: “Our girls make up more than half the ball crew this week and are absolutely loving it! It’s so inspirational for the girls and I can see their confidence increasing day by day. The players have been wonderful with us all. A personal highlight for me was meeting Jodie Burrage. What a treat for our youngest player at the club!”

There are still some tickets left throughout the week, with the Finals held on Sunday. This is the biggest women's tennis event in the UK outside the grass court season and a great opportunity on our doorstep https://wrexhamopentennis.com/tickets/
