The 2026 Cheshire Junior County Championships took place from Saturday 22 August to Saturday 29 August, attracting an outstanding 220 entries across 33 events.

Cheshire Tennis has been working with the Warrington Wolves Foundation for a while, on a number of collaborations. This summer we arranged and supported a tennis camp as part of their HAF SEND provisions which has proven to be a huge success. We received this from John Carrigan of Culcheth Tennis Club, who hosted the camp and want to share it in the hope it will inspire others to get involved.

The Cheshire Regional Wheelchair Tournament returned to Birchwood for its fourth consecutive year, with the 2026 event proving to be the most successful to date. A total of 21 players, including 16 men and five women, travelled from across the country to take part in a fantastic weekend of competitive wheelchair tennis.

The Over 35 County Cup delivered its mix of excitement and heartbreak at Devonshire Park, Eastbourne. Despite 2 members of the team suffering injuries they won 2 out of 3 matches and finished equal 1st place only to miss out on promotion to Group 1 by virtue of rubbers won and lost over the 3 matches.

Our Men's County Cup team produced a superb performance throughout the week to secure promotion after winning four of their five matches in a highly competitive group. Competing at the Northern venue from 20–24 July, the squad showed exceptional resilience, teamwork and determination, finishing as group champions after a memorable week of tennis.
