ADAPTIVE TENNIS OPEN DAY – BIRCHWOOD TENNIS CENTER, FEB 24

This was our first Inclusive tennis Open Day event where we showcased a range of adaptive forms of tennis. We occupied the whole of the venue for a full afternoon where, on separate courts we allowed anyone who came to experience and have a go at:

• Walking tennis

• Short / mini tennis

• Visually Impaired

• Wheelchair
  

The afternoon was run by our on trained coaches and supported by our ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion, Robyn Love. Her partner, Laurie Williams ( also a Paralympian!) also attended to ‘give tennis a go !). They demonstrated wheelchair court skills and answered questions.

We hope to repeat the event annually or maybe again later this year at a different park or the county.
