Cheshire Tennis held its annual specialist adaptive tennis coach training day at Birchwood on Friday 8th Nov. This was our 3rd fully funded disability course which is exclusively for the benefit of Cheshire registered coaches. This year we hosted 16 coaches for a full day of training in the delivery of wheelchair, visual impairment, learning difficulties and discussions around how to recognize neuro diverse behaviours on court. All the coaches were fully engaged and felt they had gained a lot from the day – “the best course I have attended for 20 years” was one of the comments from a long standing and respected Cheshire coach!
We would like to thank our sponsors and Partners – in particular Jon Crossley of Bentley, Manchester for the support offered for our EDI programmes.
