Cheshire 11U County Cup Teams Battle Hard at Play-Offs

It was a weekend to remember for our Cheshire 11U Boys and Girls teams as they competed in the County Cup Play-Offs, battling it out for a place in the national finals.

Both teams showed fantastic spirit and determination throughout, with some nail-biting ties and standout performances across the board.

Girls Team

The girls made a flying start with dominant wins over Leicestershire and Derbyshire. Their final tie against Durham & Cleveland was a thriller, that came down to a deciding shootout - where they narrowly missed out. They finished 2nd overall, just shy of qualification but an incredible result! Massive congratulations to: Gwynne Brown, Lucia Good, Maisie Greenall, Antonella Netri, Eva Proudlove

Boys Team

After a tough opening match against a strong Nottinghamshire side, the boys bounced back brilliantly with wins over North of Scotland and Northumberland, finishing 3rd overall in Group B. A huge well done to: Yingchi He, Ayaan Majeed, Adam Mehal, Yannick Mendler-Jackson, William Paramore, Martin Ruiz Isach

While neither team secured a spot at the national finals, we are so proud of the fight, focus, and teamwork displayed throughout the weekend. An incredible effort from both squads!
