The Ladies’ Cheshire Shield was hotly contested between six teams (after a last-minute withdrawal). Ably refereed by Georgina Jackson, the round-robin format consisted of one full set (tiebreak at 6–6), with every club playing the other five and each 1st and 2nd couple playing their respective opponents.
Bramhall Lane LTC hosted the event and provided just about everything else – possibly for the first time – including the referee, two Cheshire committee members, strawberries, watermelon, brownies (plus lots more food), and a smattering of warm sunshine.

Congratulations to all six clubs for playing some wonderfully competitive tennis, and special congratulations to our 2025 Cheshire Shield Champions, Hale. Hale were deserved winners, retaining the shield they also won in 2024, with both pairs remaining undefeated all afternoon.
Results:
• Hale – Winners
• David Lloyd Cheshire Oaks – Runners-up
• Bramhall Lane – 3rd
• Lymm – 4th
• Knutsford – 5th
• Macclesfield – 6th
