March 8th is International Women's Day, and here in Cheshire we have quite a few women in our tennis communities who deserve a special mention.
One such woman is Carol Needham from Helsby tennis club. She loved the game of tennis so much she gave up a nursing career to become a full time coach. When the Prime Video program was introduced she embraced it fully and worked hard to build a strong group of young female players. When the program came to an abrupt end last year, she was determined to keep them all engaged and to continue to support, nurture and encourage them.
Needless to say, Carol has won awards for her efforts and we are lucky to have such an inspirational coach in our midst. Thank you Carol, for your continued support of our young girls and female players!
