From Cheshire to SW19: Annabel's Junior Wimbledon Debut

The grass-court season is always the pinnacle of the British tennis calendar, but this year held a profound extra significance for the Cheshire tennis community. In a massive milestone for both player and county, Cheshire’s very own Annabel Wong was awarded a prestigious wildcard into the Junior Wimbledon main draw.

Earning a place at SW19 is a dream for any young athlete, but for Annabel, it represents years of dedication for the sport, and an absolutely stellar breakout year on the international circuit.

Wildcards into a Grand Slam main draw are never just handed out; they are earned through exceptional performance and proven potential. Annabel’s selection by the LTA was a direct recognition of an outstanding 12 months of competitive tennis.
