Inter Club Social Walking Tennis Event at Birchwood A Huge Success

Following on from the huge success of the inter club County tournament in September, members of Cheshire Tennis EDI committee, Pat Shields and Carol Needham worked with the lead representatives of walking tennis groups across the county to host a two hour inter club social walking tennis event at Birchwood indoor tennis centre.

The day was a huge success, with 28 attending from 5 different tennis clubs: Lymm Manor Rd, Helsby , Bramhall Lane, Culcheth and Birchwood. Coach Carol (Helsby TC) organised groups and some fun competition followed by the usual tea, cake and friendly chat.

A huge thank you goes out to Pat Shields and Carol Needham, for organising such a great event. This was a real team effort and a major success for walking tennis in Cheshire.
