Cheshire Tennis were very pleased to host LTA President Sandi Procter for a day last week.
Along with Cheshire Tennis volunteers Howell Davies (Cheshire Tennis Secretary) and Clive Young (Padel Ambassador for Cheshire), her day started with a tour of Hale Village Tennis Club, where she met some of the Committee members.
Next on the agenda was a trip to the Heald Green-based Manchester Padel Club, where she took part in a Padel tennis training session given by Leo Padovani - a former World top 10 player. A more relaxing session followed with Howell, Clive and Sally Hill on one of their small-sized Padel courts which is used for junior players.
The final stop saw Sandi visit Birchwood Leisure & Tennis Centre where she watched and participated in a Parkinson's friendly tennis session which is run on a weekly basis by Toby Palin - one of the Birchwood Tennis Coaches. Sandi's day got even better after the session as everyone chatted while tucking into Lemon Drizzle and Rocky Road cakes baked by Marjorie, one of the participants!
We were very pleased to hear Sandi say she had a great time visiting Cheshire, but with Howell and Clive as hosts... how could it have been anything else!
